USS Finback (SS-230) was a Gato-class submarine that conducted twelve war patrols in the Pacific during World War II, nine of which were designated successful. She is credited with sinking nearly 70,000 tons of enemy shipping and received 13 battle stars for her service. After the war, she was homeported at New London where she served in training operations until decommissioning in 1948.
