USS Meyerkord (FF-1058) was a Knox-class frigate that served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1991, named after Lieutenant Harold Dale Meyerkord, a naval adviser killed in the Vietnam War. The ship completed seven Western Pacific deployments, participated in anti-submarine warfare operations, naval gunfire support missions, and humanitarian rescue operations including the Korean Air Lines Flight 007 incident in 1983. After transfer to the Naval Reserve Force in 1989, she was decommissioned in December 1991 and scrapped in 2001.
